Gopalaya is a family not-for-profit company dedicated to compiling, documenting, preserving and sharing the musical legacy of Gopal Yonjan. Since his death in May 1997, his immediate family—primarily his wife, his daughter and his youngest son—have been key members in this venture. Yonjan’s granddaughters have recently started playing an active role in the preservation and dissemination of his musical works.
